FDM 3D-printing
CSEM SA
CSEM is a privately held, R&D center established in 1984 in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. From the beginning, CSEM has been committed to both applied and order-related R&D. This bridge function between economics and science is still a core aspect of the company, and CSEM has continuously adapted its research areas to the needs of industry.

FDM 3D printing is used for rapid prototyping of low resolution parts but also for small series production. At CSEM we do the designs and manufacturing. In the picture a "smartlid" sitting on a 96-wellplate is shown. The grey-color "smartlid" is 3D printed. Its channels will be closed with a functionalized sensor sheet to ultimately measure glucose of samples aspirated from the 96-wellplate.
