Pipette calibration by imaging technique
Organization name
CSEM SA
Organization/department description
CSEM is a privately held, R&D center established in 1984 in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. From the beginning, CSEM has been committed to both applied and order-related R&D. This bridge function between economics and science is still a core aspect of the company, and CSEM has continuously adapted its research areas to the needs of industry.

Offering Description
At CSEM we have developed a micro-fluidic plate to calibrate pipettes using imaging (or even just by using the eye). Via capillary forces, liquid pipetted into the inlet port is transported into these channels. Either the mm indicators can be used to read out the amount of liquid which was pipetted or an imaging system can be used to get an even more precise volume result.
